Soap Making Class TWO: Introduction to Coloring and Swirling Technique

Includes all equipment and materials to make a 3 pound loaf of soap! 

What will be taught: 

Classroom: 

1. The pros snd cons of using natural and man made colorants.
2. How can soap base react to fragrance oil and essential oils
3. Discuss three swirling techniques: pan swirl, loaf swirl and drop swirl 

Hands-On: 

1. We will make a soap from scratch as we did in Soaping Basics class using the technique of your choose! 

What to bring / wear: 

1. Eye protection is a MUST! We can not allow you to participate without eye protection. We will have safety glasses if you do not have. 
2. Bring along a long sleeve shirt to make soap in. Again: you cannot participate without a long sleeve shirt. 
3. Long hair must be tied back
4. Bring two bath size towels to insulate soap. 
5. Class will be about 2 hours long. You may bring a drink or snack. 

PLEASE NOTE: Our Basics Soap Making Workshop is a prerequisite to attending this class. 

Your teacher, Tamela, has over 20 years experience making soap and formulating skin care products. Along with being a Registered Aromatherapist, she has a love of teaching others!

Please note: Due to the manufacturing process of real soap, participants must be 18 years or older.
