Soap Making Class 3: Scent Blending and Layering

Have you completed the prerequisite classes 1 & 2: Cold Process Workshop AND Intro to Coloring & Swirling Technique and are ready for a new challenge?

If so, join us for more fun in our newest class, Scent Blending & Layering!

In the classroom, we will: 

1. Review the first two (prerequisite) classes 
2. Discuss scent blending using essential oils & fragrance oils
3. Discuss the layering technique 

During the hands-on portion, you will: 

1. Make a 3 pound loaf of soap from scratch
2. Create your own blend of essential oils or fragrance oils 
3. Practice using the layering technique to create your soap

What to bring / wear: 

1. Bring your soap mold from the previous class, or you may purchase one.
2. Eye protection is a MUST! We cannot allow you to participate without eye protection. We will provide safety glasses for you if you do not bring your own. 
3. Wear a long sleeve shirt to make soap in. You cannot participate without a long sleeve shirt. 
4. Long hair must be tied back.
5. Bring two bath size towels to insulate soap. 
6. You may bring a drink and snack. 

The class will take approximately 3 hours.

Your teacher, Tamela, has over 20 years experience making soap and formulating skin care products. Along with being a Registered Aromatherapist, she has a love of teaching others!

Please note: Due to the manufacturing process of real soap, participants must be 18 years or older (or have discussed with Tamela if younger).

Seats are filled on a first come, first served basis until the class is full and must be purchased by placing this “item” into your cart and checking out. Each date/time slot has 9 total seats available.
